SWEC PANTRY was program where members contributed every month financially. In June of 1998 we began weekly distribution in the community. Since then we have been operating permanently from our basement on a weekly basis distributing between 50 and 75 grocery packages (i.e. between 500 and a 1000 lbs of food), as well as clothing household goods, and small furniture and books. We operate on member and community donations. We also conduct an annual Street Fair, where we offer free food, fun, entertainment, and helpful information. We support missions and disaster relief as they occur. During the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic we were temporarily closed, which was a disappointment for many of our regulars. In May were able to re-open to serve our community.
